Hopefully we see some of you at Mt Rowan this weekend for our Come Try Afternoon on Saturday(5th) and our Christmas in July Jackpot on Sunday (6th). Entries are still open so if you haven't and would still like to enter go to www.downunderextremecowboys.com.au/p/events.html

The DEC Committee met last Tuesday night and have set our dates for Come Try Afternoons and DEC Jackpots for the next few months. We have now had those dates verified by Mt Rowan so put them in your calendars. All our Events will be held at Mt Rowan Equestrian Centre Ballarat.

Downunder Extreme Cowboys AGM will be held on Saturday 10th January 2026 after Come Try Afternoon.

We are pleased to announce that DEC will be hosting The 2026 Australian Nationals on 24th - 26th April 2026 at Mt Rowan Equestrian Centre. More great news with regards to The Nationals will be announced in the near future.
To run the Nationals we need sponsors so if any of our members know any individuals or business that would be interested in sponsorship please let us know so we can contact them.

DEC would like to thank Hanns Horse Transport, Ryebucks, Hewitt  & Whitty and Prydes Feed  for their continued support of our 2025 Jackpots. Please support these businesses if you can and mention you are from DEC. Separate posts for each Business can be seen on DEC Facebook page.

We appreciate all our members' support and if we don't see you this weekend at Mt Rowan we look forward to seeing you at our October Come Try Afternoon or our DEC Jackpot.

Nationals 2024

  Thank you for your entries in the 2024 Nationals. We have competitors from Queensland, NSW and Victoria. We also welcome Cindy Mc Intyre from Darwin who is a Level One Judge from Darwin who is coming along to volunteer her services wherever needed.  Entries are closed and no entries will be taken at the weekend.  Just a few things you need to know with regards to the weekend. Directions If coming from Ballarat, take Millers Road which is the second right hand turn off the Freeway off ramp heading towards Rosehill Road/ Creswick. Follow this all the way down to the end and turn left into Slatey Creek Road, then take the next left into Rosehill Road. Access through gate 2 this is because the top end of Rosehill Road is closed.  MOST IMPORTANTLY GATES WILL NOT OPEN FOR COMPETITORS UNTIL   1.30PM .  Mt Rowan is under construction at the present time so is classed as a work site therefore no one other than DEC committee members are allowed on site before 1.30p...
