Entries are open for the Jackpot at Mt Rowan on the 1st March 2026.

Please note you should get automated email responses for your entries. If you don't get them please check your SPAM folder.

There will be a club day/come and try day at Mt Rowan on Saturday 28th February 2026 which will run from 2PM until 5.30PM.  The club day is now full and no more nominations can be taken. Thanks for the great support.

Entry to the equestrian centre is Gate 4, Rose Hill Rd, Mount Rowan, VIC 3352 

Please note this is the third event at the new Ballarat showgrounds and there is still some construction in progress but horse yards will be available. 

We will update with information about yards as soon as we have confirmed the situation with the showgrounds.

We are pleased to announce that DEC will be hosting The 2026 Australian Nationals on 24th - 26th April 2026 at Mt Rowan Equestrian Centre. More great news with regards to The Nationals will be announced in the near future.
To run the Nationals we need sponsors so if any of our members know any individuals or business that would be interested in sponsorship please let us know so we can contact them.

Come Try Day Afternoon / DEC Jackpot on Saturday 5th/6th July.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to Postpone Come Try Day Afternoon / DEC Jackpot on Saturday 7th/8th June. The new dates will be Saturday 5th July Come Try Afternoon and Sunday 6th July will be a Christmas in July Jackpot at Mt Rowan.  Entries are now open on the events page . Sorry if this has caused any change of plans for members. DEC would also like to acknowledge Hanns Horse Transport, Ryebucks (Ballarat) and Hewitt & Whitty(Ballarat) plus Prydes Feed (Dave Gantley) for their continued support of DEC. Dates for the rest of the year

  Hello to all our Members. Hopefully we see some of you at Mt Rowan this weekend for our Come Try Afternoon on Saturday(5th) and our Christmas in July Jackpot on Sunday (6th). Entries are still open so if you haven't and would still like to enter go to  www.downunderextremecowboys. com.au/p/events.html The DEC Committee met last Tuesday night and have set our dates for   Come Try Afternoons   and  DEC Jackpots  for the next few months. We have now had those dates verified by Mt Rowan so put them in your calendars. All our Events will be held at Mt Rowan Equestrian Centre Ballarat.
